Held in partnership with Deloitte Middle East on the sidelines of MENA Climate Week in Riyadh, the session looked at the critical topic of transforming the MENA region’s transport systems and modes of mobility on the road to net zero.
Experts from across the mobility sector came together to discuss the important task of decarbonising how people and goods get from point A to B while continuing to enhance connectively, creating greener environments and supporting ongoing economic growth and development.
The session looked at innovation in the MENA region and globally including new technologies and processes, and alternative sources of energy to power low carbon forms of transportation. This included discussions on electric vehicles, developments in e-fuels and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), the introduction of hydrogen trains, and the building and reimagining of cities around carbon-free design.
