Roundtable Series

The roundtable focused on the rise of regenerative tourism destinations that are not only built to be low emissions, but also net positive in terms of their impact on biodiversity and protection of the region’s unique and diverse natural habitats.

We heard from public and private sector experts involved in the tourism and infrastructure sectors that will discuss key developments and projects in the MENA region that aren’t just minimizing the negative impacts of tourism, but rather helping to revive, protect and foster more resilient ecosystems – be it marine or land.

They discussed the investments that government and businesses are making as well as the vision and practices at the heart of the world’s most ambitious, regenerative tourism projects, many of which are in the region, and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular.
