Energy Efficiency — Accelerating Delivery under Bahrain’s National Energy Strategy

SFME, together with Tabreed Bahrain and Boston Consulting Group, convened leaders from government, industry, finance and advisory organisations to examine how Bahrain can advance energy efficiency under its National Energy Strategy.

The roundtable focused on how demand-side optimisation can reduce emissions, strengthen energy security and improve infrastructure resilience as population growth, urban development and electricity demand continue to rise.

Participants examined more efficient infrastructure, integrated planning and scalable solutions for the built environment, including district cooling. The discussion also addressed the policy, regulatory, financing and market mechanisms required to accelerate implementation and recognise the long-term value of energy efficiency.
